At blend.ie, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains your rights regarding returns and refunds when purchasing from blend.ie.
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the European Union (Consumer Information, Cancellation and Other Rights) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods. This is known as the "cooling off" period.
The 14-day period begins on the day you (or a person you nominate) receive the goods. If your order is delivered in multiple shipments, the period begins on the day you receive the last item.
As coffee is a food product, certain exceptions to the right of cancellation apply under EU consumer law:
If your coffee bags remain sealed and the packaging is intact, you may return them within 14 days for a full refund of the product price.
Once a coffee bag has been opened or the seal has been broken, we cannot accept a return for hygiene and food safety reasons. This exception is permitted under Article 16(e) of the Consumer Rights Directive for sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons.
Coffee is liable to deteriorate after extended periods. We recommend consuming your coffee within 3 months of the roast date for optimal freshness. The right of cancellation does not apply to goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
Regardless of the food safety exception above, we will always replace or refund products that are:
In these cases, we will offer you the choice of a full replacement or a full refund, including any shipping costs you incurred. You will not be required to return defective or incorrect items at your own expense.
To request a return or report an issue with your order:
Please return items in their original packaging where possible, and use a tracked shipping method so you can confirm delivery.
Once we receive and inspect your returned items:
For defective or incorrect items, we aim to process your refund or dispatch a replacement as quickly as possible, typically within 3 business days of being notified.
If you wish to cancel your order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@blend.ie. If the order has not yet been roasted or packed, we will cancel it and issue a full refund. If the order has already been dispatched, you may exercise your 14-day cooling off right upon receipt.
